A woman from Wood County, VA, recently filed an asbestos suit on behalf of her late father.

The woman filed the suit against 42 companies after her father died from mesothelioma.

Daughter Takes Action

Iona J. Cole filed the asbestos related lawsuit on behalf of her late father, William G. Cole.

Cole worked for Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation for over 37 years as a furnace operator and laborer.

According to the suit, Cole was exposed to various asbestos-containing materials as part of his job and due to the many years of asbestos inhalation, he developed mesothelioma.

Man Suffers from Mesothelioma

After being diagnosed with mesothelioma, Cole reportedly suffered from associated pulmonary pathologies and as a result, severely disabled his body.

Cole’s daughter claims that her father incurred medical expenses for his treatment, medication, and great pain.

She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
